Very few countries have strong relations with North Korea and China is one among them. Elvin Siew Chun Wai who was on a trip to China decided to travel to North Korea. This country is among the last socialist countries of this world. This country is ruled by dictators and there are very limited human rights. Elvin Siew Chun Wai has said that this country is like a small blackhole. Everywhere you will be followed by secret police. If you are a foreigner, everyone will keep you under observation.
The economic condition of North Korea is not very good. Most of the people are struggling to meet their needs. Only a few people who have an armed force background or whose ancestors were martyrs have a very good life. Elvin Siew Chun Wai admitted that it was very appalling for him to watch the condition of this country. There is often a very severe shortage of food and their resources. Except the capital of Pyongyang, you will rarely find electricity at any place.
Elvin Siew Chun Wai said that North Korea is suffering from severe financial problems but still this country is using its resources on developing the military which is not good. North Korea continues to spend billions of dollars on arms and as a result this country has not made sufficient progress
